Terms of use
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the StayBaltica website and service. StayBaltica is a place where hosts and service providers (together: providers) publish their stays and services, and travellers (guests) book them. By using the site you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
The service is provided by StayBaltica. You can reach us at hello@staybaltica.com.
2. Account
You need an account to book, send messages and publish listings. Give correct details when signing up and keep your login details secret.
The account owner is responsible for what is done through the account. If you think someone else is using your account, tell us right away.
We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, to harm other users or against these terms.
3. StayBaltica's role
The contract for a stay or service is made between the guest and the provider. StayBaltica arranges the booking and the payment, but does not provide the stay or service itself.
The provider is responsible for the listing being correct (description, photos, price, availability, rules) and for the stay or service matching it and the law, including any permits and taxes.
4. Booking and payment
The price of a booking, including any extra fees, is shown before you pay. Prices include VAT where the provider is VAT-registered.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. StayBaltica never sees or stores your card details. After payment the provider receives the amount less only Stripe's payment processing fee. StayBaltica takes no commission on bookings.
Some bookings need the provider's confirmation and are not final until then. If the provider declines, the payment is refunded in full.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Each listing shows its cancellation policy. If you cancel, the refund follows that policy.
If the provider cancels a confirmed booking, the guest gets back the full amount paid.
If the guest cancels a paid booking, the payment processing (Stripe) fee is deducted from the refund, as Stripe does not return it.
Refunds go back to the same card. Your bank may take up to 10 working days to process them.
6. Guest obligations
Guests follow the provider's house and service rules, treat the property with care and are responsible for damage caused by them or their party.
The number of guests in the booking may not be exceeded without the provider's consent.
7. Provider obligations and packages
Providers keep their calendar up to date, answer requests within a reasonable time and honour confirmed bookings.
Providers use StayBaltica under the package they choose. Package prices and contents are shown in the price list. Prices include VAT. A domain and other third-party fees are not included in the package price.
StayBaltica takes no commission on bookings – providers only pay the monthly fee of their package. Stripe's payment processing fee is deducted from each payment. Payouts are made through the provider's own Stripe account. Providers are responsible for declaring their income and paying their taxes.
8. Reviews
After a stay or service the guest can leave a review. It must be honest and based on a real experience.
We may hold back or remove a review that is offensive, not about the experience, contains personal data or is clearly untrue.
9. Ads
Providers can buy ad space. The advertiser is responsible for the content of the ad. We may reject, pause or remove an ad that is misleading or inappropriate. If we remove an ad without a reason, we refund the unused period.
10. Not allowed
False information, taking payments outside StayBaltica to avoid fees, harassing other users, automated copying of the site, breaking security measures and illegal content are not allowed.
11. Liability
We do our best to keep the site running but cannot promise it is always available. We are not liable for the acts of providers or guests or for indirect damage. This does not limit consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes and disputes
We may change these terms. We tell you about important changes by email or on the site before they take effect.
These terms are governed by Estonian law. We try to settle disputes by agreement. Consumers can also turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee (ttja.ee) or the EU online dispute resolution platform.
